Meet Que
Quesan came to High Point Farm early this summer. He is owned by Jennifer Calk and this is her in an early riding lesson. Que is a quarter horse, he is 15 years old and comes with training problems that are more related to his age and past work as a field hunter.
Que bears down on the bit always. He braces his pole, neck, ribs and hips. His trot is rough and his canter is lateral.
Make a mental note of this picture because he is changing fast. By summer 2011 he will be in the show ring competing at training level.

Que's Personal Training Program
This horse's personal training program began with a visit from Dr. Jim Yanchunis DVM.
Que needed and received at complete skeletal adjustment and an acupuncture treatment. His suppling work began in the cross ties with daily carrot stretches to release his neck and rib cage.
Next I changed his feed to a grain high in Omega 3 fatty acids and began feeding 1/2 cup of flax seed twice daily. He also does best on Alfalfa hay. A diet high in good fats to help alleviate any inflamation due to age and wear and tear.
With his body now comfortable and more relaxed, dressage training can help him balance and bend over time.
